Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2026-09-14

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the booking of, and participation in, the guided ATV and UTV tours offered by Quadventures SRL (tax code 52147692, “we”, “us”). By placing a booking you accept them.

Booking and confirmation

A booking is concluded when we confirm it by e-mail. A request submitted on the site is not in itself a contract: depending on the date, the vehicles available and the weather, we may decline to confirm it.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give. If the e-mail address is wrong, the confirmation cannot be delivered.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Romanian lei (RON) and include applicable taxes. The price that applies is the one stated when we confirm the booking.

A deposit of 50% of the total is payable at the time of booking, by card, through the payment processor Stripe. The balance is payable on site before the tour sets off. We never see or store your card details.

Some tours and products require payment in full in advance; this is indicated during booking.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancel [to be completed: deadline, e.g. 7 days] or more before the tour and the deposit is refunded in full, or moved to another date if you prefer.

Cancel later than that but before [to be completed: shorter deadline, e.g. 48 hours] and [to be completed: share refunded, e.g. 50%] of the deposit is refunded.

Cancel inside that window, or fail to turn up, and the deposit is not refundable.

If we cancel — because of the weather, a mechanical failure or an impassable trail — you choose between a new date and a full refund of everything you have paid. No further compensation is due in that case.

About the right of withdrawal

The usual 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to these services. Article 16(l) of Romanian Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 (implementing Directive 2011/83/EU) excludes services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance — which is exactly what a booked tour slot is.

Cancellations are therefore governed by the section above, not by a 14-day withdrawal right.

Who may take part

To ride a vehicle yourself you must be 18 or over and hold a valid driving licence, which must be shown before departure. Under-18s may take part only as the passenger of an adult, with a parent or legal guardian present and their written consent.

Nobody under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that affects the ability to drive may take part. We may check, and may refuse participation with no refund.

Before departure you will confirm that you are medically fit to take part. Participation is not advisable with cardiovascular conditions, spinal or joint problems, during pregnancy, or with epilepsy.

Safety, equipment and the guide's instructions

Every participant is given a safety briefing before departure. A helmet is compulsory and is provided by us. Closed shoes and clothing suited to the weather are required.

The guide's instructions are binding for the whole tour. The guide may exclude at any moment anyone endangering themselves, the group or the vehicle; no refund is due in that case.

Leaving the route, racing and exceeding the speed indicated are forbidden.

Liability

Off-road riding carries risk by its nature. Participants accept that risk and ride at their own responsibility.

We are liable for damage caused by our own fault or that of our staff. We are not liable for damage arising from a participant's gross negligence, from disregarding the guide's instructions, from an untrue declaration of fitness, or from force majeure.

Nothing in this section limits liability to any extent the applicable law forbids — in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health.

We accept no liability for valuables. We recommend taking out your own accident and travel insurance.

Damage to the vehicle

Participants are liable for damage they cause to a vehicle where it results from disregarding the guide's instructions, leaving the route, or gross negligence. Ordinary wear from proper use is not included.

We may take a security deposit, returned in full at the end of the tour if the vehicle comes back undamaged. Any damage must be documented, and you are entitled to see that documentation.

Photographs and recordings

Photographs and video may be taken during tours. We use them for marketing only if you have separately consented; that consent can be withdrawn at any time, without giving a reason.

What you do with the photographs we send you after a tour is your own decision.

Complaints, ANPC and online dispute resolution

Complaints can be sent to the contact details on our contact page and are answered within 30 days.

If we cannot reach a solution, consumers may turn to the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro) or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Applicable law and changes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of their country of habitual residence.

We may amend these Terms; an amendment takes effect on publication and does not apply to bookings already confirmed. The text in force at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it.
